A recommended tool to support proactive wellbeing planning

NHS Education for Scotland has created a wellbeing planning tool which is easy to use and free to download. It helps you to identify and understand your own warning signs and actively manage your wellbeing.

It is worth sharing this with your team – you can ask them to complete it individually or as a tam. Very often others spot our warning signs before we do – so it can be helpful for a team to do this exercise together to learn each other’s warning signs.

After completing the tool, be sure to discuss the “at work” section to understand if there’s anything more you can do to improve your staff’s wellbeing and mental health at work. NB It is important that staff have a choice in this and no one is required to share anything they don’t want to.
